Hugely experienced Director of Clerking, Marc King, leads the clerking and administrative team. He has overall responsibility for all aspects of Chambers practice management, marketing and business development. Marc regularly travels throughout the UK and overseas visiting clients.
Marc embraced the changes brought about by the pandemic to structure a truly virtual clerks’ room with members of the team operating from different parts of the UK from where they are available to meet clients, whilst remaining in continuous contact during working hours. This client-focused approach further highlights Libertas’ physical presence nationally whilst being a dynamic chambers, structured for the future.
Louis began clerking in 2019 and has been with chambers since starting up in 2020. In his four years of experience he has quickly adapted to the legal world.
Louis’ main responsibility is daily diary management and forward planning for all members of chambers where he aims to provide the highest quality service to our clients. He takes pride in his relationships with those running the Crown Court systems and works to ensure the smooth running of chambers’ practise.
His laidback, calm manner and willingness to go the extra mile is what stands out to members of chambers and solicitors.

Gary has over 26 years experience as a Criminal & Regulatory Clerk mainly on the Northern & North Eastern Circuit before joining Chambers in November 2020.
He delivers a high quality and an efficient clerking service to clients and members of Chambers by identifying and taking all opportunities to increase the quality and value of work undertaken by members of Chambers, in conjunction with the Director of Clerking, Marc King.
His role includes day to day diary management with an eye on developing practices across all disciplines within Chambers.

Tom has over 20 years’ experience having previously worked at several high-profile London based Civil and Criminal chambers. His multi-disciplined experience is hugely beneficial to chambers, with extensive knowledge in business crime, professional discipline & financial regulatory and investigations. Using his expertise and experience to efficiently advise solicitors, professional bodies, and organisations on their normally highly complex legal issues, by suggesting flexible and bespoke solutions.
Tom is a professional, extremely polite, and courteous clerk, who focuses on understanding and assisting both existing and new clients’ business needs. His role also includes fee negotiation, developing barristers’ practices and diary management.
Amanda has worked as a clerk in the East Midlands for over 10 years , most recently as a practice manager for 4 years and brings extensive clerking experience as a Criminal , Family and Civil Clerk on the Midlands Circuit.
Prior to that Amanda worked for the East Midlands Crown Prosecution service for 15 years , this cross agency career gives her a great ability to apply direct knowledge and experience to her work.
Amanda is passionate about client care and practice management and is known for going that extra mile to provide a transparent , consistent and efficient service to clients and building an excellent working relationship.
Claire has over 20 years’ experience working within Chambers as both a clerk and fees clerk.
Her role at Libertas includes all aspects of billing and fee collection alongside the day-to-day running of Chambers finance and accounts.
