Sarah Day Defends in Terrorism Case at Manchester Crown Court
Sarah Day, instructed by Steve Halsall at Cunninghams, represented the defendant charged with counts including encouragement of terrorism, dissemination of a terrorist publication and stirring up racial hatred.
Following mental health reports being obtained, the defendant entered guilty pleas. The Crown accepted the offences were committed recklessly. During the sentence at Manchester Crown Court, HHJ Conrad KC accepted that the defendant’s autism had had a direct impact on his offending, and therefore reduced his culpability accordingly.
